Letter To Northwest Company

In the form of a letter, argue why or why not being a voyageur is the right kind of job for you.

DEAR SIR OR MADAM,
IT IS SO NICE TO HEAR FROM YOU. IT IS A HARD DECISION ON WHETHER OR NOT TO BECOME A VOYAGEUR. I FEEL I AM NOT REALLY VOYAGEUR MATERIAL. IT IS MAYBE TOO TIRING FOR ME. I AM ALREADY SO TIRED EVERYDAY. IT HAS LONG DAYS. IT HAS BAD FOOD. IT HAS NO LOVING FAMILY. THAT REALLY IS HARD FOR ME. THE ADDED PRESSURE OF NOT BEING ABLE TO SPEAK BECOMES HARD WHEN I AM AWAY FROM HOME. I ALWAYS LOVE CAMPING. IT IS NICE TO BE IN THE FOREST. I ONLY DON'T LOVE FLIES THAT BITE. THEY ARE INCREDIBLY TERRIBLE. TO NOT GET EATEN IS AMAZING. GOING TO NORTHERN ONTARIO THERE ARE SO MANY FLIES, NASTY FLIES THAT EAT ME. HATE TO SAY NO TO ADVENTURE, YET NO IT IS.

Gold Rush Lesson

What are the lessons learned from the Klondike gold rush and why wouldn't the gold rush happen today?

THE GOLD RUSH FINISHED BEFORE ANYONE GOT THERE. THE NEWS TOOK TOO LONG TO REACH PEOPLE. TODAY NEWS TRAVELS MUCH FASTER. SO MEN HAD NO AVAILABLE CLAIMS TO MINE. THEY MINED ANYWAY AND FOUND NO GOLD. SO HARD TO GET TO KLONDIKE. TODAY THERE ARE ROADS TO DAWSON SO IT IS MUCH EASIER TO GET THERE. TIMES HAVE CHANGED. PEOPLE NOT NEARLY SO DESPERATE AS DURING DEPRESSION. MINING CAN BE HARD. TO TRAVEL THROUGH YUKON ON FOOT IS REALLY HARD. IT TOOK LIVES, IT WAS SO DANGEROUS BACK THEN. TIMES HAVE CHANGED, BACK THEN THERE WERE NO STORIES LIKE "CALL OF THE WILD" TO SHARE WHAT IT REALLY WAS LIKE ON THE YUKON TRAIL. IT IS SO HARD TO IMAGINE THE DANGERS. I THINK THE INTERNET WOULD HAVE STOPPED THE GOLD RUSH. IT SHARES THE INFORMATION SO I REALLY THINK SO MANY PEOPLE WOULDN'T GO IF THEY KNEW WHAT WAS REALLY HAPPENING. MORAL OF THE STORY IS - GOING TO YUKON GOLD RUSH IS JUST FOR THE MINERS, YOU REALLY NEED EXPERIENCE.

I TRIED PANNING FOR GOLD, GOLD EVADED ME:
