Too Nervous
I WENT AGAIN TO AQUARIUM. I THINK IT IS SO BEAUTIFUL THERE. I FEEL REALLY CALM THERE. TOO MANY PEOPLE IS HARD HOWEVER NOT IMPOSSIBLE. MOM AND DAD HELPED ME BY STOPPING TO SEE IF I OK IN CROWD SO I COULD REALLY REALLY HAVE GOOD TIME LEARNING, LOOKING, STOPPING TO WONDER STILL. HARD TO TALK THERE, IT SO LOUD. STILL SO TIRED BUT I STAYED CALM. TO NOT STAY CALM IS SO MADDENING. HAPPY TO TELL REALLY NOT MISSING OUT ON STUFF. I AM ACCEPTED BEING SO RAGEY NOT QUIET SON SOMETIMES. I FEEL THAT DOESN'T STOP ME FROM GOING ANYWHERE. IT STOPS ME FROM STAYING BECAUSE YELLING SO LOUD AND TOO WILD BODY IS MY SO INCREDIBLY FRUSTRATING REACTION TO BEING NERVOUS. NERVES ARE THE WORST. I AM CERTAINLY REALLY TIRED OF FEELING NERVOUS. TOO NERVOUS ABOUT MANY THINGS SO TOO RAGEY. CAN'T SEE THE REASON I AM NERVOUS I ONLY AM. TOTALLY TRY NOT TO BE HOWEVER I AM ANYWAYS. ONLY I NOT NERVOUS THAT TIME AT AQUARIUM SO I TOTALLY THINK I BEAT MY NERVES. THAT GIVES ME INCREDIBLE HOPE. MOST OF NERVES TOO STRONG TO BE BEATEN. TOO HARD TO PUSH AWAY. TO BEAT NERVES NEED TO REALLY TRY HARD TO IGNORE THEM. THINKING ON THEM IS TERRIBLE IDEA. IT LEADS TO MELTDOWN. ON DARK PATH TO MELTDOWN TOO HARD TO STOP. LEARNING TO RAGE LESS IS REALLY MY TOP GOAL.

Fox, you are doing a great job overcoming your nervousness by doing things in the community. I remember a few years ago when I brought Philip to the Aquarium. He was very nervous too and didn't want to get out of the car at first. Eventually he did and enjoyed it. The more you practice being in situations that are difficult, like places with crowds and louder noises, the more you will develop the coping skills to enjoy them. Soon enough, you will not get so nervous! Keep up the good work and keep writing!
ReplyDeleteFox, I think you need to give yourself a break, and be proud of where you are :) A while ago, you had a hard time walking into crowded places (I read that on your blog). Now you can go to crowded places. You're making progress! I'm sure your parents tell you all the time - you start with small steps, work your way up. Think of a small baby.... A small baby doesn't walk and talk right away. They need to learn, there are stages, steps, and eventually....they get there. I have complete faith that you will as well. You're an intelligent boy and you're trying... and you're pushing your limits. We only grow as people, when we push our own limits. I am so proud of you, even though you don't know me, and I get so excited when I see that one of your blog posts is up.
